The Terrace Room at The Lake Merritt Hotel is the most enchanting catering venue in the City of Oakland. Our panoramic view encompasses the blue-green of Lake Merritt and the lush Oakland hills. A special treat for evening events is the Necklace of Lights, which is a chain of lights on ornate Victorian light poles that surround the entire lake. We provide all food & beverage.

Our menu features an upscale Californian cuisine and is moderately or reasonably priced. A variety of menus are available, or our Executive Chef will gladly create a custom menu to suit your needs. Please select the menu tab to review special events menus. 
To reserve The Terrace Room for your private function for a Saturday or Sunday please contact us using the form below. The Terrace Room rents for a five hour block of time. The Terrace Room is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 4:00pm to 11:00pm. Wedding Ceremonies can be held indoors for at an hourly rate.
The Terrace Room is also available for smaller events throughout the week. Please inquire about our availability.
